I so feel the pain on this issue. As we Alaskan's are treated like 3rd world nation when it comes to shipping charges, and the overpriced publisher's e books...I so AM NOT going to buy. I'll wait for clearance sales...:)
I hear you on the shipping charges we get hit with. With the USPS one rate boxes I do not understand where stores get their shipping rates to Alaska from. Now to price ebooks HIGHER than print copies is way out of bounds. I do not mind paying for my books but I DO expect them to be reasonably priced. I guess I will have to wait to read about Merit and Adam's wedding until I can find a copy at the used bookstore or on clearance. Hopefully more people will feel the same and publisher's will realize they are alienating readers.
